The predecessor to NO-BS Marketplace, Studio 56 was a digital marketing agency focused on delivering solutions to small and medium enterprises in the Melbourne area. However, various issues limited the success of their strategies, one of which was the lack of an ability to deliver effective and—more importantly—transparent link building.

As more problems like missed deadlines and critical capability gaps manifested, Aaron and Tristan decided to form and train their own team on link building. This reduced their reliance on third-party providers, some of whom might have used black-hat methods to earn links. They also expanded their clientele to include marketing agencies.

Their decision would prove right after selling over AUD$50,000 worth of links to clients over at Black Hat World, an online forum for SEO experts and enthusiasts. But then, they realized they couldn’t deliver on time, with orders taking three months on average to complete.

Years of experience and expertise helped when it came to the birth of the NO-BS Marketplace platform. This novel system grants users control over their link building efforts by allowing them to set up custom orders. Such a feature symbolized the company’s mission of providing transparent link building, as what you see is what you get.

The platform achieved huge success in its first year of operation, netting AUD$500,000 in total sales and growing by 10% month-on-month. Nevertheless, turnaround times remained problematic, with more clients signing up for the service.
